I have quite a few clients who need work done in a timely manner, and I'm spending half of my time restarting software just to get a single plugin to load or open.Īre there any other options to getting this figured out? I'm about to ditch Audition completely and jump to ProTools, even though I don't want to. It is the only software that this happens to. I have plenty of RAM, I have reinstalled my operating system multiple times, I have reinstalled Audition several times, I have tried 2 different hard drives, and am now running on an SSD. I would say that it's the non-stock plugins, but it even happens when I open the sock plugins. I always send the error report if given the option, yet it never changes anything.
I have sent my crash files to Adobe more than once. I kept working on the mix for a couple of hours and I think that Audition crashed on me at least 20 more times working on that mix. Luckily I had saved the session right before trying to open the plugin because it crashes all of the time any more. I hadn't even used and stock plugins yet. It was the only plugin I had even attempted to put in the session. This morning I opened up a brand new session, loaded maybe 15 tracks into the session, did my gain staging, panning, adjusted levels, added a stereo buss, clicked to add a reverb plugin to the buss and BOOM. It's what I learned on back in the CEP days, and I still use it for all of my mixing and mastering, but as of late (the last year or 2) It has been crashing on me over and over again.
Vintageverb is one of the best reverb vsts for a reason, and with these presets you will be set for a long time. Try them on your drum bus in parallel for best results. And lastly, the drum folder is great for adding space and room to your drum breaks or single drum tracks.The ambient folder is perfect for turning a melody into a pad or lucious soundscape.The melodic folders are seperated based on more subtle presets (mostly just reverbs) and strong presets which can sometimes completely change the source sound into something lofi or different in tone.For example, try to put a percussive sound or a melodic one shot into any of those and you will immediately see how they can be different. Inside the sound design folder are more extreme effects that should sound radically different depending on what you feed them.
